- The fourth dimension is obviously time
- The other three dimensions in ascending order:
- 1st dimension: x coordinate, line
- 2nd dimension: x and y coordinate: square type objects
- 3rd dimension: x, y, and z coordinates: cubical type objects (our current dimension)
So basically what I mean by the rules are all the things that apply to the first three dimensions and can therefore assume apply to the 4th dimension. Here is what I think are a some rules that can be applied to all dimensions
- Each object in only be in one point in space: meaning nothing can be in more than one place at the SAME time. Another way of explaining this is that something can't have more than one of each type of coordinate ex. the point (9,0) can't also be in the location of the point (2,0).
- ya I think that the first one pretty much covers it.
- First of all, most people have the general idea that in the 4th dimension, a person will experience all time at once. This, as you can see, contradicts the first law. It will be like saying that a person in the 3rd dimension experiences all of the z coordinate at once.
- People also tend to think that in the four dimension, you can just instantaneously jump from one time to the next, even thought those times are not adjacent to each other. Again, when this same concept is applied to the 3rd dimension, it will mean that one person has the ability to teleport from one point to another point, thousands of miles away. This of course is not possible, well not yet anyway.
- For a person to get from one time to another, he/she has to "walk" through the time just like we walk through space.
- In the fourth dimension, there should be a sensory organ that enables us to see the different "times", adjacent to the one that we are currently in
- We are currently experiencing some change in time, meaning that we are moving across the 4th dimension, although it is regular and uncontrollable. This theory also suggests the fact that 2d objects gradually move through the 3rd dimension in the same regular, and uncontrollable way. Also the sense of "time"in the 2nd dimension is measured by the dimensions position in the z coordinate, just like our time is measured by our position in the 4th dimension.
- All dimension are basically layered on top of each other and adjacent dimensions contain some form of their neighboring dimensions
- A "cube" in the 4th dimension is called a tesseract and its shadow is a cube.
- It is possible to draw the shadow of a shadow of a tesseract on a piece of paper. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesseract for pictures (Don't worry, I didn't get my theories from wikipedia, its just for the pictures). Also, keep in mind that a real shadow of a tesseract is in 3d and so a 2d is a shadow of a shadow.
- If you are failing to grasp this concept then look at it this way. When you draw a cube on a piece of paper and then you put an actual cube on top of one of the squares. You will see that this resembles the shadow of the cube. Also, remember that the part underneath the cube is also part of the shadow
